Redefining Filipino Time: "Pinoy Ako, On Time Ako"

Philippine Standard Time (PhST) Campaign

Pinoy Ako, On Time Ako. The Philippine Standard Time aims to modify the so-called "Filipino Time" or the Filipinos' habit of being late. To further promote awareness, R.A. 10535 (Philippine Standard Time Act of 2013) declares every first week of January as National Time Consciousness Week. This law sets the Philippine Standard Time in all government agencies and offices throughout the country; and allocates funds for the installation, operation, and maintenance of synchronized time devices to be displayed in key public paces. It was signed into law on May 15, 2013 by President Benigno S. Aquino III.

Here is a simple, quick step to synchronize your computer's time with Philippine Standard Time:

How to synchronize PC time with Philippine Standard Time

  1. Click Change date and time settings...
  2. Click Change time zone... and time zone to UTC+08:00
  3. Click Internet Time tab, and click Change settings...
